What will happen if sun disappeared for 3 seconds?

Actually quite a lot may happen in 3 seconds. Some of them we will try to discuss here.

1. We know due to gravitational force of Sun all the planets including earth and other celestial bodies’ moves around sun. If sun will disappear for 3 seconds then these objects will not get any gravitational force and they will move here and there and explosion may occur. Fortunately as the range is too large so this may not happen.

2. We know earth moves 30 km per second around the sun. If sun will disappear for 3 seconds, the earth will move 90 km but freely at any direction due to absence of gravitational force of sun. Gravity propagates at the speed of light. It reaching time to our solar system varies from 3 minutes for mercury to about 5.3 hours for Pluto. It may explode by colliding with any other object but fortunately as the range is too large and the time is different so this may not happen.

3. We are getting light from Sun. If Sun will disappear for 3 seconds so we will not get any light for three seconds. Three seconds is not enough to make us dead or anything like that. After 8 minutes and 20 seconds we get light from sun. So After 8 minutes and 20 seconds of disappearing of sun we will feel 3 seconds of darkness. But probably it may not because is atmosphere due to reflection through dust particles we will feel light for this 3 seconds.

4. We are getting heat from Sun. For 3 seconds we will not get heat from sun. But due to radiation of heat from Earth’s surface we may not face any problem.

This conclude that in this 3 seconds the solar system may explode or nothing will happen.
